Frequently askedquestions.

Microblading

Microblading is becoming an incredibly popular treatment as more and more people like the fine results that it can offer. The pigment is implanted in the basal membrane, which divides the epidermis from the Dermis layer of the skin. This technique is therefore more superficial than tattooing.

So What is Microblading?

Microblading it the newest innovation in brows! A semi-permanent hair simulation technique that creates the finest hair strokes into the eyebrow area. These fine strokes penetrate into the skin for a hair-like finish. The process (using a unique, hand-held tool) mimics an exact brow hair, creating a feathering effect which is more natural-looking than a solid fill. Hair strokes are fine, crisp and extremely natural-looking.

This amazing Eye Brow treatment suits people who ideally have the wrong Brow shape, over plucked, loss of hair / patchy areas and won’t grow back or through medical reasons such as Alopecia or chemotherapy. Micro-blading gently enhances clients’ natural features, giving them more confidence in their overall appearance.

The purpose of Microblading is to gently enhance your own natural features and create a customized look that suits you!

The procedure is 2 hours long and typically includes your consultation on the same day.

Are you a good candidate for Microblading?

We can NOT perform Microblading if you:

  • Are under 18 years of age

  • Are pregnant or nursing (not recommended as this puts you in a high risk position)

  • Are undergoing chemotherapy (or have undergone Chemo in the past 12 months)

  • If you have been on prescription Accutane within 1 year

  • Are sick or unwell

  • Have any Keloid scars

  • Have moles on the procedure area (We cannot tattoo over moles)

  • Have a distinctive previous tattoo on the procedure area

  • Have a skin disorder or rash anywhere on your body

  • Have a facial sunburn

  • Had Botox or any facial laser treatment done within 2 weeks before your appointment

  • Have any viral infection or immunodeficiency

  • Have large pores & Oily skin, the pigment will blur and leave you with more of a powdered brow

  • Deep Wrinkles in the brow area will result in tattooed hair strokes not laying properly in the skin resulting in an uneven look

  •

Before Your Appointment

  • If you have an ideal shape and colour in mind, bring a few reference photos with you to your appointment.

  • You may fill in your eyebrows as you normally would so we can take into consideration the shape you desire.

  • If you plan to go on a vacation, it is recommended to plan your trip a minimum of 14 days after the procedure.

  • We require our clients to avoid any blood thinning medication for a minimum of 72 hours prior to their appointment. This includes Vitamin E, Aspirin, Niacin, fish oil supplements, and Ibuprofen.

  • Do not drink any alcohol the night before and day of your appointment and limit the amount of caffeine you consume.

  • If you have been on prescription Accutane in the past, you MUST wait at least one year before considering this procedure.

  • It is highly recommended that you avoid SUN and TANNING BED exposure for 30 days BEFORE and AFTER your procedure. If you show up for your appointment with a new tan or a sunburn, you will need to reschedule and will forfeit your deposit. As your skin exfoliates from a sunburn, it will take the pigment with it.

                                                                                     AFTERCARE

How you treat your beautiful new brows for the 10-14 days after your initial and touch up appointments will ultimately determine their final appearance and longevity. Please follow these instructions carefully for best results:

  • Immediately, and two to three times a day following your procedure, please apply your aftercare balm to your brows (After Inked/Vitamin E/Coconut Oil or Cicaplast) Never let you’re your brows feel tight, or completely dry. Hydration is key.

  • Swelling is normal after Microblading, and can be managed with soft gel ice packs. Place chilled (not frozen) gel packs in plastic baggies before applying. This is to protect your brows from coming into contact with moisture.

  • Flaking and crusting may also occur as the skin heals. Picking or peeling at the procedure area may cause loss of pigment and scarring. Refrain from touching your brows, except when applying aftercare balm. Please wash your hands prior to each application.

  • Please note that some pigment may rub off, so take precautions to protect good linens and towels. The pigment will be a few shades darker for the first few days while your brows heal. Please avoid using brow makeup during the initial healing time.

  • When showering or bathing, apply a thick layer of your aftercare balm before to create a barrier, and avoid putting your face directly in the water stream.

  • Pools, Jacuzzis, tanning, excess sweating, facials, Botox, and saunas should be avoided for at least 10 days after the procedure, or until the procedure area is fully healed. Skin creams and products containing Retin-A, AHA or any kind of skin peel may not be used, as they will fade and possibly distort the procedure area.

  • Sun block should always be applied (SPF 60 recommended), and a hat/sunglasses should be worn for the first few days if sun exposure is longer than 30 minutes.

After your brows heal, a perfection appointment will be needed; the process is not considered complete without it! Your brows may lose anywhere from 40-60% of the pigment. Your touch-up appointment should be booked within 6-8 weeks after your initial appointment.

Brow Micropigmentation

Microblading is becoming an incredibly popular treatment as more and more people like the fine results that it can offer. The pigment is implanted in the basal membrane, which divides the epidermis from the Dermis layer of the skin. This technique is therefore more superficial than tattooing.

So What is Micropigmentation?

Brow Micropigmentation (commonly know as Cosmetic tattooing) is the process of implanting pigment just below the skins surface. Using a top of the line, computerized Micropigmentation (permanent Makeup machine) we are able to control the speed & depth of the needle to ensure pigment gets distributed evenly under the skin.

Dreamlash eyelash extensions

Eyelash extensions are one of the most popular beauty trends that is continuing to grow. With the proper training and top of the line products I am able to give you the most beautiful long lasting lash extensions.

How is dreamlash different?

It is important to Dreamlash that all of our clients experience lashes that are suitable for their lifestyle. For this reason, you'll find Dreamlashes don't crumple or bend, even if they're slept on. This is because of the silk flexors in the lashes that keep the lashes flexible.

Why is dreamlash adhesive different?

While other adhesives dry to a rock hard finish, causing crumbling and breakage, Dreamlash's line of Quickie adhesives also contain silk-flexors that create a flexible bond. This is important because a smooth and flexible finish creates a hassle-free experience for you.

what exactly is lash artistry?

Lash Artistry is a combination of 3 key elements:

1. Being able to determine what your most flattering look is. What looks good on one client, may not look good on another as each person is unique and so are their lashes.

2. Meticulously applying Eyelash Extensions to your natural lashes, while taking the necessary precautions  to provide a safe & smooth application.
3. Making sure, you the client know that you are my top priority and that I have your best interest at heart.

what is in your adhesive?

Yumi Keratin Lash Lift

YUMI Lashes is an advanced technique designed to boost and lift the natural eyelashes without having to resort to false lashes or costly growth serums. In other words, it is a powerful alternative to false lashes that enhances your own natural beauty and colouring.

YUMI™ Tint alters and boosts the colour of the eyelash. YUMI™ Lashes was founded by permanent makeup expert and Swiss Derma-PigmentOlogist Sandra Viglino as a lavish substitute to fake eyelashes along side with costly growth serums. Sandra has done just that by enhancing the natural beauty of eyelashes with her Yumi Lash treatment.

A PUSH-UP BRA FOR YOUR LASHES

Your eyelashes are significantly longer and thicker, due to curve and filling the entire length. Eyelashes are filled with colour, giving the illusion we had just applied the mascara.

The Yumi lash treatment has the boosting and lifting effect that lasts for 2-3 months, which is the natural life cycle of the eyelash. During the treatment, firming and brightening gel pads are applied under the eye area, which aid in keeping your under-eye hydrated, less puffy and decrease the appearance of dark circles over time.

YUMI Lashes allows you to increase the size and curves your own eyelashes without a perm. And unlike a perm, which has a number of consequences, the procedure does not have a negative impact on the eyelashes, but rather strengthens their structure due to nutrient components within the ingredients of the products.

YUMI Lashes is a successful combination of the latest, innovative technology in cosmetology with absolutely safe components. The procedure meets all standards and has safety certifications.

Currently in the world there are no analogues of this procedure.

Before Your Appointment
  •  Come with clean lashes -- NO mascara or eye makeup

  • If you wear contact lenses, they will need to be removed before the procedure. -- They can be put back in as soon as the Lash Lift is completed.
